Jan. 13th, 2012 04:03 amEh, just for the hell of posting these for anyone who missed them on Plurk earlier tonight. They aren't anything special, just kind of me trying to get back into the swing of things after not drawing for so long.
Still need to learn a setting for my tablet pen that'll let me do muuuuuch lighter lines and muuuuuch darker ones without having to switch back and forth between things, so these sketches will look a bit nicer. Ah well, messy isn't so bad for practice drawing. XD
I'm really starting to feel my drawing mojo coming back now that I've been home for a few days. It's amazing how thoroughly creativity can be stifled while I'm stuck at my parents' house...

Jan. 11th, 2012 04:10 amSo damn happy to be back in Chicago, you guys have no idea. So much less stress being away from my family, god. If only it could be permanent, I'd be the happiest Wolfie in the world...
Nothing much to update on, really. Gaming-wise, gotten through about half of a replay of Twilight Princess, no further in Okami, and played the FF XIII-2 demo today. FF XIII-2 is looking like it's going to be beautiful, and a lot of fun. I'm less worried about the story for this installment, as gameplay and Noel are going to make up for any flaws it has, I'm sure. Noel is such a troll...and that was just seeing him in the demo. Can't wait for my Collector's Edition to get here~!
Over the break so far, I've watched...
Approx. 13 eps of Batman Beyond (and five cameo eps with Terry in them)
26 eps of G.I. Joe Renegades
52 eps of Static Shock
and ~40 eps of Talespin
...Needless to say, between playing games and watching ALL THE THINGS, I haven't actually gotten much drawing done lately, but I'll get back into it as classes start again. I'm not too worried, since I kinda...belted out a pretty decent sketch of Tigger the other day with barely any effort, and put hardly any time into it.
Once classes start and I've got my work schedule, I'm going to find a Figure Drawing course just around the Chicago area (not through my school) to shore up the skills I have, as I'm still not convinced they're strong enough. ...Of note...a college art teacher (not...at any school of note, just at an offshoot of one of Cincinnati's major universities) thinks otherwise, and that if I were able to I should apply to be a TA...and...that determination was made when she'd only seen my folder full of 10 minute drawings...
